
TUNINDEX rises 0.82% as Carthage Cement and Sotuver drive focus
The TUNINDEX rose 0.82% to 16,017.40 points on April 29, while the TUNINDEX20 gained 0.95% to 7,098.86, according to market data. Gains were led by banks, whose index added 1.06% to 11,480.39, and food and beverages, up 1.30% to 17,620.73, while building materials fell 1.84% to 802.88. SOTETEL jumped 6% and helped lift the market, according to an April 29 analyst note. On the corporate front, Carthage Cement reported profit of 40.1 million dinars and is considering a dividend of 0.065 dinar per share, according to Business News and as reported by Express FM. Sotuver raised first-quarter 2026 revenue to 28,071 MDT, while BA Glass holds 41.28% of its capital, formalizing a strategic partnership, according to MSN, Tunisie Numerique and Ilboursa.
