Johannesburg Stock Exchange — Top 40 Gains 2.07% as Miners, Tech Ride Gold and a Firmer Rand

The JSE ended the week to 21 August 2026 firmly higher, with the Top 40 up 2.07% and the All Share gaining 1.81%. Stronger gold and platinum prices, plus a firmer rand, underpinned miners while Aspen, Mr Price and Prosus broadened the rally.
