Capitec jumps 23% as JSE All Share edges up 0.10%
The JSE All Share rose 0.10% to 116565.97 on April 24, while the Top 40 added 0.22% to 108814.75. Capitec led the news flow after reporting a 23% rise in headline earnings and profit, driven by stronger South African lending, according to OFM News and News Ghana. News Ghana also reported that Capitec is eyeing international growth after the record 23% profit increase, preserving the conditional nature of that plan. In financials, Africa Business Communities said Nedbank expanded its payments partnership with Mastercard, while Windhoek Observer reported the bank still sees Namibia as a promising market.
