
EGX 30 falls 1.04% as EFG Hermes and Orascom drive headlines
The EGX 30 closed at 47,001.9 points, down 1.0443% on March 26. EFG Hermes advised on a $195 million private placement for Trolley, according to ZAWYA, after concluding on March 25 its advisory role on Trolley’s IPO and listing on Boursa Kuwait, MSN reported. Orascom Construction, Engie and Toyota Tsusho signed a PPA for a 900 MW wind farm at Ras Shokeir in Egypt, according to EnterpriseAM Egypt, while Energy Global reported an Orascom-led consortium is to develop, build, own and operate the project. On the corporate side, Contact Financial Holding on March 25 released its 2025 standalone results and board decisions, while the exchange on March 26 also published a notice on a periodic partial redemption for a Capital for Securitization bond tranche.
