ONE TECH HOLDING leads a broader rally than the headline suggests
The clearest signal from the Tunis stock exchange today came from ONE TECH HOLDING, which jumped 5.9% to 10.36 TND on Thursday, October 1, 2026, marking one of the strongest moves among liquid industrial names. The gain came alongside a firmly positive market backdrop, with the TUNINDEX up 1.29% to 18,623.43 and the TUNINDEX20 rising 1.54% to 8,171.6, giving the move more significance than a standalone rebound.
That advance also unfolded against a tougher macro backdrop than the index alone suggests. The USD/TND rose 3.63% to 2.9855, while the EUR/TND gained 2.79% to 3.3602, increasing the local-currency cost of imported inputs for much of Tunisia’s industrial base. At the same time, Brent crude stood at $101.84 a barrel, down 1.6% on the day but still above the $100 threshold that matters for Tunisia as a net energy importer.
