
TUNINDEX rises 0.37% as Carthage Cement posts 6% H1 revenue drop
The TUNINDEX rose 0.37% to 20,070.56 on July 30, while the TUNINDEX20 added 0.26% to 8,838.32, with financial stocks underpinning the market. Financial services climbed 1.56%, insurers gained 0.94% and industrials rose 1.01%, while consumer services and distribution both fell 0.60%. Carthage Cement posted a 6% revenue decline at end-June, with cumulative local revenue steady at 128 million dinars, but a recovery started in the second quarter despite a sluggish domestic market, according to Tustex, African Manager and Leconomiste Maghrebin. SOTUVER, meanwhile, saw first-half revenue boosted by stronger demand for olive-oil packaging, Tustex reported.

On the corporate front, Carthage Cement reported a 6% drop in revenue at end-June, with cumulative local revenue steady at TND 128 million, but a recovery started in the second quarter despite a sluggish domestic market, according to Tustex, African Manager and Leconomiste Maghrebin.
