
Nedbank backs Geita with $714 mln as JSE ends little changed

Nedbank backed AngloGold Ashanti's Geita gold mine with $714 million in financing, according to Mining.com.au, after Polity.org.za reported on July 14 that Nedbank CIB had underwritten a mining credit facility for the asset. Sibanye-Stillwater also completed a $500 million senior notes offering and liability management transaction, reports Global Legal Chronicle. The day's flow centered on mining finance and refinancing as equities ended near flat.
