TUNINDEX rises 1.03% as banks offset mixed corporate earnings
The TUNINDEX rose 1.03% to 19,121.0 and the TUNINDEX20 gained 1.14% to 8,357.58, driven by a 1.53% rise in the banking index, according to the Tunis Stock Exchange. The day's rebound partly reversed the 0.86% weekly drop reported on September 11 by the exchange, while the financial companies index added 1.36% and the insurance index rose 0.24%. On earnings, Carthage Cement reported first-half profit of 25.1 million dinars, down 10%, according to Tustex, while Poulina Group Holding posted a 29.4% jump in net profit in H1 2026, reports challenges.tn. Telnet Holding, for its part, reported cash up 17%, with profit also moving higher, according to Leconomiste Maghrebin.

TUNINDEX rises 0.34%, led by financials despite Carthage Cement drag
The TUNINDEX rose 0.34% to 18,627.16 points and the TUNINDEX20 added 0.32% to 8,150.61 points, supported by financial stocks, according to market data. On earnings, SOTUVER posted first-half profit of 7.9 million dinars helped by insurance compensation while operating profitability eroded, according to Tustex and African Manager, and Delice Holding won approval for a 60.4 million dinar dividend, according to L'Économiste Maghrébin.
