
NGX rebounds 0.68% after BUA Cement-led correction
The NGX ASI rose 0.6771% to 1,781.34 points on July 21, after a pullback driven by BUA Cement, according to market data. On July 14, profit-taking wiped NGN1 trillion off Nigerian equities, with PZ Cussons and BUA Cement leading losers, according to Peoples Gazette Nigeria. On July 17, the market closed in the red again as BUA Cement tumbled, The Guardian Nigeria News reported. By July 19, BUA Cement was trading 40% below its 52-week high, according to MarketForces Africa, while UPDCREIT jumped 9.9% to NGN11.7 on July 21, according to analyst notes.
