Carthage Cement underpins Tunis as TUNINDEX rises 1.3%
The TUNINDEX closed up 1.3% at 19,807.27 points on June 26, while the TUNINDEX20 rose 1.44% to 8,800.08 points. Financials led the move, with the banking index up 1.7% at 14,961.57 points and the insurance index gaining 2.22% to 28,229.61 points, according to market data. Carthage Cement stayed in focus after deciding to distribute a dividend of 0.065 dinars per share for 2025, payable from Aug. 12, according to African Manager and Tustex. The cement maker is also targeting a 55 million dinar profit in 2026, Tustex reported, as the Building and Construction Materials index rose 0.89% to 880.7 points and the Basic Materials index gained 1.72% to 9,456.97 points.

TUNINDEX slips 0.19% as SOTUVER tender offer opens at 13.390 dinars
The TUNINDEX fell 0.19% to 20,118.58 on August 6, while the TUNINDEX20 lost 0.28% to 8,852.03, with financial services down 1.21% leading the decline. Distribution and consumer services capped losses with gains of 1.27% each, while the industrials index dropped 0.66% and building and construction materials slipped 0.48%. On the stock side, Smart Tunisie jumped 6% on August 6, after Wifack International Bank rose 4.4% on August 5, according to market notes. Separately, the mandatory tender offer for SOTUVER at 13.390 dinars opened on August 5 and trading was suspended, reports Tustex, after Webmanagercenter said the deal organizes joint control between B.A Glass and the Bayahi group. Webmanagercenter added that SOTUVER’s H1 2026 results were reshaped by a 143% rise in the local olive oil market.
