
TUNINDEX rises 0.87% as basic materials jump 3.31%
The TUNINDEX rose 0.87% to 17,824.19 points on June 1, while the TUNINDEX20 gained 0.8% to 7,856.15, lifted by the Basic Materials index, which jumped 3.31%, according to the June 1 market report. Financial stocks underpinned the market, with Banks up 1.11%, Insurance up 1.4% and Financial Services up 0.69%, while the Industries index fell 0.62% and Building and Construction Materials slipped 0.49%. In stocks, BA Glass acquired 41.28% of SOTUVER on May 24, according to MSN, after 2 block trades worth 2.5 million dinars in SOTUVER on May 12, according to Tustex. On earnings, Delice Holding reported profit of more than 120 million dinars in 2025, Tustex reported, SAH-Lilas improved results and proposed a 0.4-dinar dividend, according to Business News, while Unimed posted 148.9 million dinars in revenue and 16.8 million dinars in profit in 2025, with profitability under pressure, according to La Presse de Tunisie and Tustex.

The advance came despite 29 decliners out of 75 stocks and despite a 1.48% drop in basic materials and a 1.29% fall in distribution, according to local analysts. On the earnings front, Sotuver reported a 78% jump in profit and proposed a dividend of 0.25 dinar per share, according to Business News. Corporate updates also featured Poulina Group Holding, whose 2025 net profit rose 26.4%, while BNA Tunisie increased the dividend paid for 2025, Africtelegraph reported. Block trades were also recorded in STAR for 3.5 million dinars and in Délice Holding for 2.6 million dinars, according to Tustex.
