
TUNINDEX rises 0.62%, lifted by basic materials and insurers
The TUNINDEX closed up 0.62% at 17,303.92 points on May 25, while the TUNINDEX20 added 0.49% to 7,628.53 points. Basic materials jumped 2.06% and insurers rose 2.01%, offsetting a 0.51% drop in financial services, according to market data and a May 25 analyst note saying MPBS and STA led the broader market. In stocks, SOTUVER stayed in focus with first-quarter 2026 revenue of 28.071 million dinars, while BA Glass now holds 41.28% of the capital, according to MSN, Tunisie Numerique and Ilboursa. On earnings, Carthage Cement reported 40.1 million dinars in profit with a proposed 0.065-dinar dividend per share, UNIMED posted 148.9 million dinars in revenue and 16.8 million dinars in 2025 profit, SAH-Lilas proposed a 0.4-dinar dividend, Délice Holding topped 120 million dinars in profit, and Attijari Bank Tunisie will distribute 210 million dinars to shareholders, according to Business News, La Presse de Tunisie, Tustex and Le Nouvelliste Maroc.

TUNINDEX slips 0.19% as SOTUVER tender offer opens at 13.390 dinars
The TUNINDEX fell 0.19% to 20,118.58 on August 6, while the TUNINDEX20 lost 0.28% to 8,852.03, with financial services down 1.21% leading the decline. Distribution and consumer services capped losses with gains of 1.27% each, while the industrials index dropped 0.66% and building and construction materials slipped 0.48%. On the stock side, Smart Tunisie jumped 6% on August 6, after Wifack International Bank rose 4.4% on August 5, according to market notes. Separately, the mandatory tender offer for SOTUVER at 13.390 dinars opened on August 5 and trading was suspended, reports Tustex, after Webmanagercenter said the deal organizes joint control between B.A Glass and the Bayahi group. Webmanagercenter added that SOTUVER’s H1 2026 results were reshaped by a 143% rise in the local olive oil market.
